Flexible panendoscopy
Flexible Panendoscopy is a modern endoscopical technique, which allows to evaluate the function of the esophagus and stomach. The major advantage of this procedure is, that - in contrast to other endoscopical procedures – it can be carried out without sedation, as it is little invasive. It also can replace x-ray procedures, e.g. x-ray of the esophagus with radiopaque meal.
This type of endoscopy is applied especially in swallowing disorders, heartburn, when you have a lump in your throat and as a screening method for esophageal cancer.
