Allergologic deseases

The cause of allergies is a hypersensitivity of the immunosystem to different proteins. The most known allergies in our area are allergies against grass pollen or tree (e.g. birch) pollen. Symptoms are: itchy eyes, runny and stuffed nose, reddening of the eyes, sneezing and asthmatic reactions. When treated insufficiently, allergies might evolve into asthma.

Treatment

The main goal is the impairment of a change of the reacting site from nose/upper airway to the bronchial system and the lung, which will cause an allergic asthma. The only causal therapy to reduce symptoms on a long run is he „specific immunotherapy“. Applied righteously the success rate might reach 90%. In addition there are symptomatic treatments with antihistaminic agents or corticosteroids.
